Proposition 65 Newsletter
Dear
Clients:
The
California Office of Administrative Law (“OAL”) Environmental Health Hazard
Assessment (“OEHAA”) has adopted new regulations for providing clear and
reasonable warnings under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of
1986 (“Proposition 65”).
The
new regulations are effective, and apply to consumer products manufactured on
or after, August 30, 2018
The
new regulations require that warnings under Proposition 65 provide more
detailed information to the public, including, among other things, a clear
statement that a person “can be exposed” to chemicals known to the State of
California to cause cancer or reproductive harm, the name of one or more the
chemicals that is the subject of the warning, and a link to a website
maintained by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (“OEHHA”)
containing supplemental information about the warning or chemical.
This
letter serves as formal notice that all polycarbonate products you receive from
will come with the new Proposition 65 warning label affixed to the master case
packaging and each individual item. Your polycarbonate product (s) will come
with this warning regardless if you are located in California or another state.
